Fish Passage in the Mississippi River Basin

Telemetry Identification (L&D 26)

This site is maintained by the Fisheries and Illinois Aquaculture Center at Southern Illinois University.  It summarizes the locations of receivers in the Upper Mississippi River System (UMRS).  Several projects are underway and this site is intended to serve as a clearinghouse for telemetry data acquired by stationary receivers at several locations in the UMRS.  Green triangles indicate the current locations of functional receivers.  The red line is the nearest Lock and Dam.  As the stationary receivers they are downloaded, current data will be uploaded onto this site and made available in downloadable text files.  Please contact either Ron Brooks or Jim Garvey for further information about these data.  Data should only be used by the personnel or agencies responsible for implanting transmitters in fishes.  This project is sponsored by the St. Louis and Rock Island Districts, US Corps of Engineers.  Refer to http://fishdata.siu.edu/passage for an interactive site with updated fish data.
