The Fisheries and Illinois Aquaculture Center compiled a geospatial data base for the existing information about Asian carp in the Upper Mississippi River System, including the Illinois River. This research was funded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, primarily through cooperation with the Carterville Fisheries Resource Office.

ILLINOIS RIVER RESEARCH
SIUC, UIUC, INHS, and MSU recently published a report on the abundance and potential control of Asian carp in the Illinois River titled "Fishing Down the Bighead and Silver Carps: Reducing the Risk of Invasion to the Great Lakes". It will be available soon.
