The Fisheries and Illinois Aquaculture Center recently compiled a geospatial data base for the existing information about Asian carp in the Upper Mississippi River System, including the Illinois River. This research was funded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, primarily through cooperation with the Carterville Fisheries Resource Office. The report can be found here in pdf format [report]. We also have developed a spatial query tool for exploring these data and seeing where Asian carp are likely to occur in the UMRS. Go to Carp Tools...
